ASTE: The Alaska society for Technology in Education This conference is a great place to begin on the local level. You might present and showcase your innovations in teaching and learning and learn from the many k-20 professionals who attend yearly.
Alaska Summit Featuring Google for Education This opportunity includes training for beginners, intermediate and advanced Google Apps for Education users looking for innovative ways to incorporate Google Apps into the classroom.
Blackboard World Keynote speakers share their vision for the future of technology and education. See what Blackboard features other faculty are using to get the most out of the online classroom environment. Session tracks highlight best practices and innovative ways to enrich the classroom experience. A very large vendor area also permits attendees to see some of the learning solutions that are available to faculty and institutions.
Campus Technology This conference features many hands-on sessions for professional development. Focus areas allow you to navigate the conference choosing sessions that interest you.
DevLearn Conference and Expo This conference is a blend of cutting-edge technologies, hands-on training opportunities, intense training certificate programs using specific technology and some excellent speakers.
Distance Teaching and Learning Conference A smaller conference consisting mostly of practitioners sharing best strategies, practices and teaching solutions.
Educause Annual Conference One of the largest gatherings of speakers, sessions, vendors and learning communities this conference can be overwhelming to navigate. If you choose your sessions carefully (in advance) you can make a rewarding experience.
Quality Matters Annual Conference Features discussions and the sharing of best practices that improve the learning experience. 2015 showcases competency based education.
Serious Fun-an Educational Games Gathering UAAs annual gamification conference where game theory and education converge. See how local educators are applying the theories of gamification in their classrooms.
WCET Annual Meeting This conference features practice and policies in technology enhanced learning in higher education. Sessions are loosely organized around emerging trends and topics.
